Skin Cancer Awareness Month/ Melanoma

What is Melanoma?

Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that develops when melanocytes, the cells responsible for producing pigment in the skin, become cancerous. It often appears as a new mole or a change in an existing mole's size, shape, or color. Early detection and treatment are essential.

Preventative Steps:

• Wear protective clothing and consider taking shade breaks when you can.
